Staff - Replace a Thermostat

1. Log into your Quext IoT Admin app. Select the Service tile.

2. Select the Building then the Unit. You can also use the magnifying glass at the top of the screen to search for the unit.

3. Click the three-dot menu in the Thermostat block and select Replace.

Access to camera: You will be prompted to allow Quext IoT Admin to access your phone's camera to scan the barcode. Choose OK if you would like to scan the barcode Using Phone Camera. If you do not want the app to have access, you may choose Don't Allow and Select from Available Thermostats or Enter ID Manually.

Select one of the follow methods:

  • Use phone camera: Use your camera to place the thermostat's barcode inside of the blue box to scan the thermostat into the unit's devices.

  • Select from Available Thermostats: Select the desired thermostat from the list in Bluetooth range. Be sure to verify the thermostat SN to ensure the correct lock is replaced.

  • Enter Serial Number Manually: You will find the thermostat ID on the back of the thermostat to enter into the ID field.

4. Click Replace. Be sure to plug the thermostat back into the power source. Then select Next.

5. Connect and finish. The device will take up to a few minutes to connect. Once it has successfully connected, click Finish to complete your installation.
