Staff - Replace a Lock

Please ensure that the unit lock has been deleted in the Quext IO Web Portal prior to replacing the lock.

  1. Log into your Quext IoT Admin app. Select the Service tile.

  2. Select the Building then the Unit. You can also use the magnifying glass at the top of the screen to search for the unit.

  3. Tap +Install Device and select Lock.

  4. Select one of the follow methods:

    1. Use phone camera: Place the lock's barcode inside the blue box to scan the ID.

    2. Select from Nearby Locks: Select from nearby locks then select the desired lock from the list in Bluetooth range. Be sure to verify the lock SN to ensure the correct lock is replaced.

    3. Enter Serial Number Manually: Select the desired lock from the list in Bluetooth range. Be sure to verify the lock SN to ensure the correct lock is replaced.

  5. Tap Install.

  6. Allow the lock to sync. When complete, tap Finish.

Standalone mode is used in locations where thermostats are not installed.

Thermostat mode is used when a lock can be connected to a thermostat.
