Staff - Create a Quext Pass

Quick note: All Passes can only be to be active for up to 12 hours at a time.

Creating a Vendor Pass

  1. From the access page, navigate to the passes section.

  2. Select vendor from the visitor type drop-down menu.

  3. Add the vendor's information by inputting a name, email, & phone number for a single-use vendor; or by using the drop-down to choose a current (previously-created) vendor.

    1. Tip: To save time and an extra step later, always add the phone number of the recipient! If you don't input a phone number here, you'll need to approve the recipient's pass after they've received an email requesting they submit their phone number. The pass will not be active until this is completed.

  4. Click next.

  5. Choose the location(s) that you want the vendor to have access to.

  6. Click next.

  7. Customize the access availability by selecting the pass:

    1. start and end dates.

    2. time range (how long the pass will remain active once the recipient activates a lock for the first time on their smart device).

    3. schedule (if needed/available).

  8. Click submit.

Remember, all Passes can only be to be active for up to 12 hours at a time.

Vendor's Verification Process

  1. The vendor will receive an email with a go to pass link.

  2. Once they click the link, they'll need to input the same phone number that you gave when creating the pass.

  3. A code will be sent to the phone number that you input when creating the pass. The vendor will use this code to verify themselves and then will be given access to your chosen location(s).

If you did not input a phone number when creating the pass, you'll need to approve the recipient's pass from within the passes page of quext.io at this point. The pass will not be active until this is completed.

Creating a Resident Pass

This pass is utilized for current residents. It's great for residents who want to tour a larger unit, or trial an on-site paid amenity space.

  1. From the access page, navigate to the passes section.

  2. Select resident from the visitor type drop-down menu.

    1. Tip: To save time and an extra step later, always add the phone number of the recipient! If you don't input a phone number here, you'll need to approve the recipient's pass after they've received an email requesting they submit their phone number. The pass will not be active until this is completed.

  3. Click next.

  4. Choose the location(s) that you want the resident to have access to.

  5. Click next.

  6. Customize the access availability by selecting the pass:

    1. start and end dates.

    2. time range (how long the pass will remain active once the recipient activates a lock for the first time on their smart device).

    3. schedule (if needed/available).

  7. Click submit.

Resident's Verification Process

  1. The resident will receive an email with a go to pass link.

  2. Once they click the link, they'll need to input the same phone number that you gave when creating the pass.

  3. A code will be sent to the phone number that you input when creating the pass. The resident will use this code to verify themselves and then will be given access to your chosen location(s).

Creating a Guest (Visitor) Pass

This Pass is great for potential residents or visitors who want to self-tour your property!

  1. From the access page, navigate to the passes section.

  2. Select guest from the visitor type drop-down menu.

  3. Add the guest's information by inputting a name, email, & phone number.

    1. You can also add an optional personal message to the visitor!

  4. Click next.

  5. Choose the location(s) that you want the guest to have access to.

    1. Only vacant units will be available to select.

  6. Click next.

  7. Customize the access availability by selecting the pass:

    1. start and end dates.

    2. time range (how long the pass will remain active once the recipient activates a lock for the first time on their smart device).

    3. schedule (if needed/available).

  8. Click submit.

Remember, all Passes can only be to be active for up to 12 hours at a time.

Guest's Verification Process

  1. The guest will receive an email with a start self-tour link.

  2. Once they click the link, they'll need to input the same phone number that you gave when creating the pass.

  3. A code will be sent to the phone number that you input when creating the pass. The guest will use this code to verify themselves and then will be given access to your chosen location(s).
