Managing Settings

  1. Choose Recommended move-in settings from the automation page.

  2. Toggle the automation setting on, if not already done.

  3. Click the three-dot menu and choose automation rules.

  4. Customize your automation rules by choosing the settings around:

    1. thermostat control

      • Local - Not following any automation

      • Smart - Can only be selected if a schedule has been created. Follow the Create a New Event guide, below, for more information.

    2. user mode

      • Landlord locked - The thermostat can only be controlled by Community Management. Changes cannot be made to the thermostat settings from the app or from inside of a unit.

      • Landlord unlocked - Property management has chosen thermostat settings, but temporary changes can be made to the thermostat settings from the app or from inside of a unit. After that temporary time, the thermostat will go back into the settings chosen by Community Staff.

  5. Click save.

These setting will only be active until a resident makes a change to their thermostat during their move in. At that point, the thermostat will transition completely to the resident's control.
