Choose Energy savings mode from the automation page.
This will be specific to vacant units.
Toggle the automation setting on, if not already done.
Click the three-dot menu and choose automation rules.
Customize your automation rules by choosing the settings around:
Thermostat control
Local - Not following any automation
Smart - Can only be selected if a schedule has been created.
User mode
Landlord locked - The thermostat can only be controlled by Community Management. Changes cannot be made to the thermostat settings from the app or from inside of a unit.
Landlord unlocked - Property management has chosen thermostat settings, but temporary changes can be made to the thermostat settings from the app or from inside of a unit. After that temporary time, the thermostat will go back into the settings chosen by Community Staff.

Cool and heat set-points
Select save.
All of your vacant units will be set to the rules that you just created.
