Staff - Create PIN Code & Assign Temporary Access

This article is for customers who have locks (for example Yale locks) that use PIN codes for access.

Enable a PIN code

Ensure a PIN code is issued for the staff member.

  1. Open the user's profile from your People page.

  2. Click the three-dot menu and choose keyring.

  3. Click the three-dot menu and select key management.

    1. NOTE: Both pin code and remote keys should be toggled on.

Assign Temporary Access

  1. Navigate to the access page.

  2. Click the three-dot menu and choose grant access.

Fill in the details around the access. You'll need to:

  1. Choose mobile as the access type.

    1. NOTE: For PIN code devices (Yale locks, for example) you must choose the mobile access type. Virtual access will not work for PIN code devices.

  2. Set the date range the access should remain active.

  3. Choose a schedule the access will follow. This will be 24/7 access, by default, unless a custom schedule has been created and selected.

  4. Choose the locations & users that the access will be for. Use the search bars to locate specific units/users.

  5. Select save.

Selecting a building or floor will not automatically select all units associated with it. Click select all to the right of a location to choose all doors listed under that item.
