Resident App - Operate the Door Lock

The Home screen landing page shows the current list of locations that you have access to, allowing you to quickly interact with those locks and doors!

Activate the Lock to Lock or Unlock the Door

  1. Tap the lock icon next to the location you need to access to activate the lock.

    1. You can also tap the location to open up more details around the lock; then, activate the lock by tapping the lock icon.

  2. After receiving an acknowledgement from the lock (a green light or beep) physically turn the deadbolt.

    1. The smart lock prevents the deadbolt from opening or closing unless it is activated.

You must still physically turn the deadbolt to unlock or lock the door after using the app or the key fob to activate the lock.

Note: After unlocking, the door locks again automatically after about 20 seconds.

If you’d like to grant a guest remote access to this location:

  1. Tap the lock icon next to the location you're granting access to and switch the opening method to Remote.

  2. Your guest (who should be standing in front of your door) will receive a type of prompt (like an audible beep or visual green light) once the lock is activated.

  3. Your can guest can then physically turn the deadbolt and lock/unlock the door.
