Note: Guest Passes are a feature that your Community leadership chooses to enable. If you don't have this feature, please let your Community Management team know that you're interested.

With our guest pass you’ll be able to create access schedules (or passes) that you can share with guests! It’s perfect for the various home services that you use like dog walkers, grocery delivery or cleaning because it allows you to give a guest access to doors for a window of time.
Remember, these Passes can only be used for locations with locks associated with your Quext system; Common areas or buildings with locks not connected to Quext can not be added to a Pass.
Before creating a visitor pass, build your default route. This default route, or My Route, will identify any access point (or door) that uses your Quext keys to open it. This route should follow your journey from arriving at your Community, to entering your unit.
To set up a Default Route:
1. Select Guests from the Home Screen of your IoT Resident App.
2. Manage your default route. Select the routing icon menu in the upper right-hand corner, then Manage your default route.
3. Add locations. Either search for and select, or choose from the given list, each location, or door needed to complete your route. Select Back when finished.
To create a Visitor Pass:
1. Create a guest pass from your home screen. Select Guests and click the +CREATE A PASS tab at the bottom of the screen.
2. Choose desired Time Frame--the window of time in which you’d like this pass to be available for use--using either the predetermined setting or by creating a Custom range.
Note: At the end of this time frame, this pass will automatically be removed from your Visitor Pass list.
3. Choose the expiration date.
4. Choose Expires In window - how long the shareable Pass link will be active once your guest opens it for the first time, during the time frame you’ve already chosen.
Tip: If you want your guest to be able to use this pass freely for the entirety of the time frame, choose Without expiration.
5. The Location selection will default to My Route (image 1). If you have not set a default route yet (used for multiple access points), please select the Default Route guide below.
6. Toggle on Custom to select other doors that your Community allows you to grant guests access into (image 2).
7. Create a secret code for pass. If you’re giving access to your Unit, create a Secret Code that you’ll share with your guest.
Tip: This unique 4-8 digit code should be kept private, only to be shared with the guest who will be using this particular Guest Pass. You will need to share this code with your guest separately. These codes are always required when giving access into your personal unit, and your Community Management may also require them for common area doors as well.
8. [Optional] Write a personal message that your guest will see when they open the Visitor Pass. This space is great for any specific instructions that your guest may need to know.
9. Once you have completed all of the settings, click the Create button.
Once you select Create, you’ll have the option to have this pass repeat! This is great for vendors who come by on a consistent schedule. You can even customize this, as needed.
